Working at Day Air Credit Union’s Centerville branch and getting to know and help the members here has been a great pleasure since I became the branch manager last year.
One of the best things about working for Day Air is that we’re large enough to offer the best financial products and services in the Dayton community and yet small enough to provide the personal, individual care that every member deserves. We always strive to do what’s best for you and provide the best products for your financial well-being. We also hope that by providing the best service that you will trust us with all of your finances.
No matter who you are or what your financial needs are, we can help you. That includes everything from a fixed-rate Freedom Mortgage at a 10 year term for a rate as low as 2.99% (which is, personally, one of my favorite Day Air products) to rewarding everyone who has a checking account just for actively using their account.
I really enjoy the many ways we help save time and money for members. One example is our free-of-charge coin sorter. Members never have to roll their coins again, or pay a fee just to have their change sorted at a machine in a bank or retail store. It’s something so simple, yet members really appreciate this service.
Another great part of working for Day Air is how we reach out into the community around our branches. For example, our Centerville branch offers a free community room for non-profit organizations and small groups in the area to use for meetings. If you’re interested, contact us!
We also support charities in our community. For example, the associates here at the Centerville branch helped a local church purchase gifts for needy families during the 2016 Christmas season.
I’m very pleased with the active role we play at Centerville High School. We sponsor the Centerville High School Credit Union and volunteer for the Real World Real Money budget simulation for students at the school. That event is great because it helps students to really learn just how expensive it is to own a car or house and have a family. It’s neat, for example, to see the looks on their faces when they realize how much daycare really costs! Some students attending the simulation stated “I am never having kids!” after looking at those costs. Well, they may change their minds in due time, but they’ve definitely had a reality check!
We will also be hosting the Centerville Summer Concert Series at Stubbs Park this year. We’ll staff a table at some of the concerts to provide information about Day Air to the community.
Centerville is a great community, and I am glad to be a part of Day Air and actively involved with the people, businesses and events here!
