Day Air Credit Union, the largest financial institution headquartered in Montgomery County, is pleased to announce a new Financial Empowerment Program in partnership with the Artemis Center. The program uses $10,000 from a New Beginnings Grant from the Ohio Credit Union Foundation to provide survivors of domestic violence with needed financial resources to establish and maintain safety for themselves and their children.
“With partners like Day Air Credit Union, we can work to eliminate barriers for survivors by helping to build or rebuild their credit and provide ongoing financial education,” said Jane Keiffer, Executive Director of Artemis Center.
Day Air’s partnership with the Artemis Center will empower survivors to make good financial decisions while ensuring minimal risk to their credit. Artemis Center staff and advocates provide ongoing check-ins and supportive services, while Day Air Credit Union provides the portal to the credit card services and financial empowerment and educational resources to all participants in the program.
“The Artemis Center is dedicated to empowering survivors of domestic violence,” said Bill Burke, President and CEO of Day Air Credit Union. “We are proud to support the Artemis Center and partner with them to protect the financial future for these survivors and their families.”
