If you have visited our Wilmington Pike branch location at any time since May you have no doubt seen that we’ve been in the midst of an extensive remodel project. “How much longer will it take?” you might ask. Well, after months of “pardon our dust,” I’m excited to say that this project will be finished in several weeks!
The remodel serves to update our 20-year-old building and to maximize the space within it. We’re adding new offices and a new conference room so we have more room as Day Air continues to grow. This project will allow Day Air to comfortably use this building for at least another 20 years.
Though the process has been a little disruptive at times, we’ve tried our hardest throughout to minimize any inconvenience to our members who visit our branch. It has been exciting to watch first-hand the transformation on a daily basis. For me, the highlight of the remodel has been the removal of the traditional teller lines and the addition of modern teller pods and furniture to create a warmer, more welcoming environment within the branch. In this “open branch” design, our members stand side-by-side with our associates, without barriers, allowing for a more personal, less institutional interaction. This arrangement has already had a positive impact at two of our other branch locations.
The remodel is only one example of how Day Air is continuously improving to better serve our members. Day Air strives to offer the most competitive and current financial products so that, combined with our member service, we continue to be the best choice for the Dayton community. Other improvements at Day Air this year have included adding a new branch location in Beavercreek, updating our phone systems, offering person-to-person payments, and, most recently, introducing Kasasa® free rewards checking.
Throughout the dust of the remodel, our associates have continued to provide exceptional member service with the goal of enhancing our members’ financial well-being. I wish to thank all of our members who visit the Wilmington Pike branch for your patience during this process. I invite every Day Air member to stop by and see the final result here in the very near future!
