Day Air Credit Union, the largest financial institution headquartered in Montgomery County, is pleased to announce a new Financial Empowerment Program in partnership with CHOICES Inc. The program uses $7,000 from a New Beginnings Grant from the Ohio Credit Union Foundation to fund transitional age youth programming for clients of CHOICES.
“With partners like Day Air Credit Union, we can provide our youth with items to make their first housing experience rewarding and feel like a home,” said Jane Anderson, Executive Director of CHOICES.
Day Air’s partnership will provide guidance and support for CHOICES clients on their personal development path. The goal of this program is to encourage self-sufficiency, prevent homelessness and help furnish apartments for youth transitioning out of the foster care system.
“We are proud to partner with CHOICES. to help provide the youth in our community with stable housing,” said Bill Burke, President and CEO of Day Air Credit Union. “We are also looking forward to meeting with these individuals to provide basic financial education to help them plan for a successful future.”
