Day Air Credit Union is proud to announce that Don Schweitzer, Business Development Officer, was elected to the South Metro Regional Chamber of Commerce (SMRCOC) Board of Directors. As a Board Director, Don will help fulfill the goals and mission of the South Metro Regional Chamber by crafting strategies to improve the business climate in Southern Montgomery County and Northern Warren County.
Don’s active role in the South Metro Regional Chamber for more than ten years led to his election to its board of directors. One of Don’s key initiatives on the board is guiding its 2022-2024 strategic plan.
As an active community member, Don participates in numerous philanthropic initiatives each year. Most recently, Don volunteered for the We Care Arts 10th Annual Cookie Walk, helping prepare holiday boxes of goods for community members and assisting in other local holiday giving programs. In addition, Don serves on the Board of the West Carrolton Education Foundation, helping raise private funds from community members and organizations to distribute as classroom grants for student enrichment.
“Don specializes in living the Day Air mission to improve the financial well-being of others,” said Bettina Buscemi, Business Development Manager at Day Air Credit Union. “We are more than confident in the positive impact he will have contributing to the economic development efforts of the South Metro Regional Chamber.”
Don has worked in the financial industry for over 40 years, holding countless roles during his career. He provides numerous financial education classes throughout the community, served as the Parade Chair for the Kettering Holiday at Home Committee, and is a past President of the Moraine Rotary.
